A Pain in the Grass

Well, it's been two months since my last entry and things have been... interesting to say the least, but also mostly good - bordering on great! Except our neighbour absolutely hates our guts already and called the yard police on our asses for some weeds on the side of our garage. In my defense, we had barely been here a month and a half, PLUS I don't like to do any plant related activities (other than necessary) before May long weekend since a lot of critters are still snoozing under all that organic debris, AND I thought the apparently unforgivable bylaw violation in question was simply some sorta humble bush? NOT TO MENTION that it is almost completely hidden from anybody's view!

I don't understand why she couldn't have come over here to tell us about it, or even leave a note tucked into our front door, but it turns out that she is just one of those types of people and the previous owners of our house had the exact same problem. I'm hoping we don't hear from her for a while now, because I am PETTY and WILL buy one of those giant, menacing 12ft skeletons from Home Depot or wherever to tower over her yard, periodically dressed in festive, seasonally appropriate attire.

At least our other neighbour is an absolute gem so far!
